Barnes Mural

This mural was fantastic to do. Two walls one 3 meters and the other 6 meters high rise from the basement up to the ground floor this cherry blossom tree was a real challenge. Having a specific brief from the client I experimented with a range of paints and techniques to come up with this shimmering light reflective effect. This handmade mix works brilliantly with the light only showing glimpses of this subtle delicate design at any time.

Blossom Tree Mural

A real pleasure to do, this was a private commission for a bedroom.
Taking a two days the intricate detail had me seeing flowers and birds for days.
The blossom tree works it way across the chimney breast scattered in small flowers, berries and birds while heavy camellias weigh the upper branches down.
Always happy to do private commissions I would love to hear from anyone that would like a bespoke painting within their home or business.

Freerange, July 2006 (going back a bit!)

Freerange, 2006
What a fantastic experience exhibiting in this huge car park on Brick Lane. With live bands and bar in the evening. I'm proud to have studied at Brighton and pull this off.
Loads of people came through all really interested in our work and the atmosphere was positive the whole time.
I designed new t-shirts and poster (above) for the safe sex Chav campaign! Along with some very fetching photos of them being modelled!

Giant wasp

This is about bugs getting their own back. They’re constantly getting squashed, trapped or their wings and legs pulled off. I started by making an 8ft wasp cut out and 3ft glass, giving wasps the power to get their own back and trap people. The idea is to make several of these and put them in situe, inside and out, creating an interactive game with passers-by.

Postcard Designs

The 'Seven Days to Live' project was something I had real fun with. Having always wanted to travel I decided to create a series of seven postcards to be delivered from all over the world (Egypt, China the Pacific) . I also came to the conclusion that if I was to only live for another week that I would be indistructable, and therefore able to do anything, such as cross the Pacific on stilts.

Macmillan childrens book competition
Developing my ideas about the effects of war on children I made a counting book. This tackles the sad but true fact that war and terrorism are part of our everyday lives and have been for several generations.
